SOUTH ATLANTIC REGION OF GARDEN CLUBS (SAR)
Linda Howle
2025 – 2027 Director

Linda Howle is the 2025-27 South Atlantic Regional Director for National Garden Clubs, Inc. She is an NGC Master Flower Show Judge and the immediate past president of The Nationally Associated Judges’ Council of South Carolina and currently serving on the NGC Flower Show School Committee. She served as president of The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc. from 2021 to 2023. During her term, she helped to raise $15,000.00, which was awarded in $1000.00 Grants to 15 garden clubs around the state for the establishment or refurbishment of Youth Gardens. She also served as the First Vice-President and Finance Chairman for GCSC from 2019 to 2021. Linda has held many positions in The Darlington Garden Club and served as East Sandhills District Director and Assistant Director. She especially enjoyed serving as the State Youth Awards Chairman for GCSC 2017-2019.

Linda is a retired elementary school teacher and lives in Darlington with her husband, Bill, and their 5-year-old Springer Spaniel, Charlotte, in an 1880’s Italianate home they lovingly restored. They enjoy spending time with their four grown children and two grandsons in Columbia and Charleston. Linda is a frequent presenter of garden club programs on Flower Shows and Floral Design. She is looking forward to her term as SAR Director, traveling through the lovely states of North Carolina, where she grew up, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky and promoting her theme, “SAR-Watch Us Grow!”
