The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc. invites you to the 2005 South Atlantic Regional Convention, which will be held March 13-15, 2005 in Mount Pleasant at the Holiday Inn – Patriot’s Point located on the beautiful Charleston harbor.

Sunday, March 13, 2005

Please plan to join us in time for the Ribbon Cutting of the GCSC State Flower Show and later in the evening, the Dinner Cruise – “The Spirit of Carolina” leaving from Patriot’s Point.

Monday, March 14, 2005

The official Opening of the Convention will be held at 9:00 AM.  The Design Luncheon will be held at 12:00 noon.  Gertrude Chandler, 1996 Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medallist will be the featured Flower Show Designer.  In the afternoon we will tour some selected Charleston Gardens and have Tea honoring our 2003-2005 SAR Director, Jo Jean Scott and Emily Stephens, SAR Director Elect for 2005-2007.  Skila Harris, Director for the Tennessee Valley Authority will be the speaker for the evening Banquet.


Tuesday, March 15, 2005

Breakfast will be held at 8:30 AM.  Phyllis Steele, SAR Awards Chairman, will present SAR awards to State Presidents.

We look forward to your visit to the Charleston area.  Please come and enjoy Springtime in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
