 NORTH CAROLINA

The Garden Club of North Carolina, Inc.
Theme - "Let's Have Fun!"
Lila Petersen, President

What a great start North Carolina had to our gardening year with exciting reports, interesting programs and energized District Meetings.  There were reports of new youth garden clubs in the works, awards being applied for and a number of first time attendees at each of the 10 Districts.  It is rewarding to see the leadership in our districts and to see a glance of the future leadership.

"Let's Have Fun" - in Education.  I'm excited to report three schools you can attend in North Carolina.  FSS, Course I was held in New Bern - but look for the date for Course II in 2008; Landcape Design, Course I at the beautiful Sara P. duke Gardens, Durham, February 11-12; Garden Study, Course I in Goldsboro, March 6-8.  I hope to see you at these schools.  Next summer, come join us in Goldsboro on August 12 & 13 for FSS Symposium.

"Let's Have Fun" . . in membership and garen club meetings.  At each District Meeting there were reports of new members and new youth clubs all across our state.  With interesting and informative programs, just the right dimension is added to enocurage membership at our meetings.  Now that's fun!
