Mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 12, 2005, the date of the first VFGC Healing Garden Fundraiser.  You are cordially invited to attend the Lewis Ginter “Day of Design” with Julia Clevett, which will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, Virginia. 

As seating capacity is limited, only 300 tickets will be available at $35.00 each to watch Julia work her magic.  At the conclusion of the program, Julia Clevett’s six original creations will go to six lucky ticket holders in the audience (you must be present to win).  In addition, a tea will be hosted by the Judges Council.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to personally view the lovely VFGC Healing Garden.

Julia Clevett is a NGC Design Instructor, a Master Flower Show Judge, a former President of the Garden Club of New Jersey, and a former Club President.   Her Flower Show Awards include the Myra Brooks Silver Award and the Harriet de Waele Pucket Creativity Award. One of her blue ribbon winners in the 2000 In Bloom International Flower Show is featured in the NGC Millennium edition of the Vision of Beauty calendar.  Julia has studied in England with the well-known flower arranger Shelia McQueen.  She represented NGC at the 2002 Chelsea Flower Show in London, England, where she exhibited in the Floral Design Division of the Show.  Her articles on flower design have been published in Flora, an international flower-arranging magazine published in the United Kingdom.  She currently holds the position of  South Atlantic and Pacific Regions Flower Show School Accrediting Chairman for NGC, Inc.
