“MEMBERS ARE THE LINK TO THE FUTURE”
SAR Director Mary H. Dixon has chosen the theme “Members Are The Link To The Future” – Invite - Communicate – Educate and has the following projects offered for awards. Realizing that membership is vital to our organization and that the projects will enable each of our states to participate at all levels.
Each year the awards will be offered as stated below. The awards are to be submitted using the NGC award application and can be submitted to the chairman by e-mail or printed with the same limit of three pages front only.
No books of evidence, page covers or binders are necessary.
The applications are due to the SAR Special Projects Chairman by January 31st each year.

SAR 1: Invite New Members. Donor: Frances Thrash
$25.00 will be awarded to the club with the most unique program or plan to get new members.
SAR 2: Communicate Rewards of Membership. Donor: Mary Dixon
Award for most methods of Communicating the rewards of membership in a garden club.
A – Individual Club Award $25.00
B – Federated Council or Group of Clubs $25.00
C – Districts $25.00
SAR 3: Educate members about opportunities for them. Donor: Mary Dixon
$25.00 award to the state with the Most Effective Methods of Communicating about the Educational opportunities offered within their state.
